2010's MAMA Winners
The winners of tonights Mnet Asian Music Awards were somewhat surprising, but not to be unexpected. Some winners beat out obvious favourites, and some favourites weren’t even nominated. SM boycotted MAMA and in return? No SM artists won, and several weren’t even nominated for certain awards.
However, many of the winners are deserving, and they are as follows…
Artist of the Year: 2NE1
Album of the Year: 2NE1 (To Anyone)
Song of the Year: miss A (Bad Girl, Good Girl)
Best Female Group: 2NE1
Best Male Group: 2PM
2010 Female Rookie Award: miss A
2010 Male Rookie Award: Cancelled by Mnet due to nominees being absent
Best Solo Vocal Performance: Gummy (Because You’re A Man)
Best Group Vocal Performance: Cancelled by Mnet due to nominees being absent
Best Male Solo Singer: Taeyang

The Shilla Duty-Free Asian Wave Award: 2PM
It was an amazing award show, and whoever missed it really should just give up! With some amazing performances from all our favourite artists (excluding SM artists), someone described it as a JYG Concert! And it was, with 2NE1, Taeyang, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Gummy, miss A, 2PM, and Wonder Girls performing a medley of their greatest hits. They ripped up the stage and held some of the best performances of their careers!
Congratulations to all winners!
And despite all worries and concerns, the 2010 MAMAs were successful!

This has everything to do with point 4., so until you read that point, this is for your collective viewing pleasure. Super Junior performing ‘No Other’ live.
P.S., I was like, ‘oh, Sungmin went blonde?’ But then I realised it wasn’t him. Then I thought ‘what the hell is Dongwoon doing in a SUJU performance, too weird… or maybe it’s a backup dancer… but they have 10 active members, why the hell do they need any backup dancers?’ I paused on his face and after completing the strenuous process of elimination I was like, ‘Oh! It’s Heechul!’ Nice. Just thought I’d share some good times! If I had just watched the whole thing through I would have realised who it was when Heechul does his solo bit. Sigh.
P.P.S., Yesung was really cute during the ‘No Other’ promotions. Ryeowook too. And Sungmin and Ryeowook are just too cute in this vid during the ‘Sorry, Sorry’ part. So, yeah… 😉

The countdown is over and our favourite Beastly Idols are back!
2PM will soon be releasing their comeback MV teasers, first on the 7th of October and then again on the 9th of October.
P.S. Junsu is not my bias, but his and Chansung‘s promo pics were, in my opinion, the best. They made it through to the final elimination round, and from there it was just a simple case of innie-minnie-minny-moe! 😉
